The deVeber Institute is hiring for the position of Summer Research Associate.

 

The deVeber Institute will be conducting research on two projects:

  • Palliative care access in Canada
  • Updating research on Abortion and Informed Consent

We are looking for an individual with experience in research, specifically database searches and scientific inquiries. An ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with end-of-life issues in Canada, women’s health, and related topics.

 


Skills and qualifications required:

  • Someone who can work independently with limited supervision.
  • Someone who is a strong researcher with experience accessing and reading university/post-secondary databases and periodicals from a variety of sources.
  • Someone who can sort through large volumes of information to synthesis and report on studies on various bioethical issues.
  • Someone who is available to work remotely and be in contact with the deVeber Institute Research Committee and lead supervisor consistently via email or phone.

  • This is a remote employment position and a reliable internet connection is required. Applicants from across Canada are encouraged.
  • This opportunity is a full-time 8-week research opportunity beginning in June 2021.
